This is a Kodacolor 100 shot scanned on the LS-2000 with ICE disabled. The crossing scratches were made with a needle point. The scratch starting on the top-left and extending to the lower-right is on the emulsion side. The scratch starting on the lower-left and extending to the upper-right is on the back. The other irregular white objects are surface dust. |
With ICE and sharpness enabled, ICE is extremely effective in removing dust and almost miraculously fills in the deep scratches, especially in the figures. The back side scratch, not surprisingly, is less noticeable. Note the small effect of ICE on image sharpness. |
